About The Course

This collaborative course has been designed to assist the health care provider in increasing their knowledge, skill and ability in the nursing specialty area of foot care. You will gain comprehensive understanding of the various medical conditions that effect the feet, how to treat appropriately within your scope of practice, and most importantly how to educate on the importance of foot health. Continued education to maintain competencies as per the students regulatory body, is the responsibility of the individual and is highly encouraged.

The Advanced Nursing Foot Care Course is complete with Theory Curriculum Material (110hrs) as per the Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses Competencies, including PAC Position Statement and guidelines. As well as Clinical Practicum Experience of 25hours. 


Theory coverage includes, but is not limited to:

  • Anatomy & Biomechanics of the Lower Limb & Foot

  • Conditions of the Foot & Nail

  • Infection Prevention & Control

  • Diabetic Foot Care Management

  • Wound Care

  • Assessment, Terminology & Skill

Theory is completed on an online platform with quizzes for each chapter made up of multiple-choice, matching, and fill-in-the-blank questions that pertain to the textbook and related websites that are provided throughout the course.


Clinical Practicum, 4 days of hands-on, private guided practical experience, enhancing your knowledge, skill & abilities. As a student you will perform thorough assessments & documentation, patient care, evaluation, patient health teaching, and follow IPAC guidelines and practices. Skills practice is guided and performed one-on-one, in settings that include: Private Professional Clinic, Community Setting & Private Homes.

Attendance is 100% mandatory. Scheduling clinical practicum can be agreed upon in advance to accommodate, however, due to the nature of scheduling, once set, if you are unable to attend, with less than 30days’ notice, re-scheduling fees will apply*.


Upon completion of both Theory & Clinical Practicum, a Certificate of Completion will be provided.

Course Fees

  • Advanced Nursing Foot Care Theory - $1200+tax

  • Advanced Nursing Foot Care Practical - $3000+tax           Clinical Aspect Completed in London Ontario

  • Basic Starter Kit, including tools and essentials​

Apply for reimbursement of up to $1500 through the Nursing Education Initiative RNAO  or  WeRPN

Eligibility Requirements

  • Current Nursing Registration within Regulatory Body -RN, RPN, NP

  • $2 million Professional Liability Protective Insurance - WeRRN, RNAO, etc.

  • Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses Student Membership

* It is at the discretion of the clinical mentor to apply re-scheduling fee of $300 per day​
